Bellandi records Euro € 35 million turnover as Eurojersey collaboration takes form
The Bellandi group from Prato, specialised in garment finishing, achieved a record turnover of € 35 million, up by 40 per cent from 2021, the group focused on complete vertical setup and wool production plant in Slovakia.
Leonardo Mantelli, head of Foreign Sales at the Bellandi group since 2020, stated that in 2023, the company will consolidate its position after a ‘hangover’ effect caused by the surge in post-pandemic consumption, which somewhat inflated last year’s figures. He mentioned that the current economic data are in line with those of the previous year.
The Tuscan company utilises eco-friendly materials like ecological wool, responsible wool, organic cotton, recycled polyester, and Ecovero viscose. They collaborate with Eurojersey, combining Bellandi’s fine wools with sensitive fabrics for dynamic and elegant garments. These fabrics are ideal for travelwear, offering comfort and sophistication.
The company employs more than 100 people, with around 50 in Prato and the same number in Slovakia. Bellandi serves approximately 300 customers worldwide, primarily from France, the United States, and Italy. Additionally, they also have clients in the Balkans, Japan, South Korea, and Germany, as Lorenzo Mantelli explains.
Established in 1961 by Paolo Bellandi in Montemurlo (PO), Bellandi SpA has grown to become a global player in the production of high-quality woolen fabrics. Currently, the company boasts four brands within two divisions, covering both clothing and accessories.
